WhatsApp users have been asking developers for years to add the ability to transfer chat history from iPhone to Android and vice versa. Now users can finally transfer chats from Android device to iPhone.
According to a recent post by Mark Zuckerberg, WhatsApp now has support for exporting all messages from Android to iPhone. Currently available in the beta version of the application, this feature allows you to transfer all account data, including individual and group chats, user information, profile photo, media files, and even settings. The only exceptions are messages with P2P payments, as well as call history. WhatsApp is rolling out this feature gradually, it will take some time before it becomes available to all users.
In the FAQ section, detailed instructions have already appeared on how to export data from an Android device to an iPhone. First, you need a smartphone with Android 5.0 or higher, and the iPhone must be running iOS 15.5 or higher. Secondly, you need to install the Move to iOS app on your Android device. Thirdly, for this feature to work properly, WhatsApp for Android must be version 2.22.7.74 and iOS version 2.22.10.70 or later. WhatsApp recommends using a new iPhone or resetting it to factory settings. Both devices must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
