WhatsApp began to gradually make available a shortcut so that users no longer need to create groups and remove contacts so that it is possible to chat with themselves.
Released from this Monday (28), the functionality – available for Android and iPhone – will bring the user’s contact at the top of the list to start a conversation.
Previously, there was no such option, no matter how much the app consumer saved his own number.
In a note, WhatsApp reported that “this functionality brings the convenience of being able to send notes to your to-do list, reminders, shopping lists and any other note that the user wants to have access to easily, in the palm of his hand, in the application that he already uses it often.”.
Also recently, the company released the possibility of creating ‘polls’ within conversations. As a next feature, WhatsApp has already reported that it is testing the option to search for companies and make in-app purchases.
“This seamless checkout experience will be a game-changer for people and businesses looking to buy and sell on WhatsApp without having to go to websites, open other apps or pay in person,” the company said.
