WhatsApp will soon allow its users to have two simultaneous accounts on the platform. The announcement was made this Thursday (19).
According to official information from the network, the function will be made available to Android users in the coming weeks and months. So far, there is no information about when the feature will be available for those using iOS.
The new feature should make life easier for those who use different profiles for professional and personal use, for example.
“Now you no longer need to disconnect every time, carry two phones or worry about having sent messages from the wrong account,” the statement said.

To set up a second account, you will need to have a second phone number and a SIM card — it is also possible to use devices that accept multi-SIM or eSIM.
With that in hand, simply access WhatsApp settings, click on the arrow next to the user’s name and then click on “Add account”.
Privacy and notification settings can be controlled on each account, according to information from the platform.
