A single account can already be used on multiple different devices, up to four. The news was announced last June. Now it’s coming, though Whatsappthe somewhat reverse mode: as on Telegram and other chats you can use two accounts, linked to two different phone numbers, on the same smartphone.
Mark Zuckerberg himself announced it: «Soon you will be able to have two WhatsApp accounts on a single phone within the app». So you can quickly move from a personal number to one perhaps used for professional reasons. And keep your contacts and conversations in order. Also reducing the risk of so-called “cross messaging”, which often embarrasses us – even if messages can now be modified within 15 minutes and obviously deleted before reading.
In short, the app installed and two numbers that can send and receive messages, calls and video calls. So as to make it useless to carry two phones with you, because until now dual use was not allowed even with a dual SIM device. To activate the new functionality, click on the three-dot menu at the top right of the Android app screen, access the Settings and then on its own image, where we will find an arrow pointing downwards: it is the path through which add another account by entering the telephone number in question. You need the smartphone where the other SIM is housed to authorize the “move” with a code. From that moment you can jump from one number to another but this obviously compromises the possibility of continuing to use it on the two devices: the second phone, where the other number lived, will be disconnected from the account.
