When does the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas begin?

THE ceasefire between Israel and Hamas will start tomorrow, Thursday, at 10:00 am (local time and Greek time), Musa Abu Marzouk, a member of the Hamas Politburo, told Al Jazzera today.

There will be a cessation of hostilities in all areas of the Gaza Strip. There will be no warplanes flying and no air traffic in Gaza airspace from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PMhe said.

Turkey announced today that hopes that the agreement between Israel and Hamas on the release of hostages and a ceasefire in the fighting in Gaza will help “put a permanent end” to the war between Israel and the Islamist Palestinian movement.

“We hope that this humanitarian truce will contribute to bringing a permanent end to the conflict as soon as possible and to start a process towards a just and lasting peace,” the Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

“We consider the agreement (…) a positive development that moderates the bloodshed to some extent,” adds the Turkish ministry and calls on the belligerents to “fully respect” the agreement.
