For this year, the clubs have not yet made any major signings, but the recent news of Al-Ahli’s interest in Vini Jr. has shaken up the football news.
When does the Saudi Arabia Championship start?
The 2024/25 Saudi Arabian Premier League season will start on August 22 a Thursday. The highlight of the first day will be Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr hosting Al Raed. A day later, Al-Hilal visits Al-Akhdoud.
There will be 34 rounds over 9 months, and 18 teams in search of the local trophy. The last round is scheduled for May 25th .

Al-Hilal, the team of Brazilians Neymar, Michael, Malcom and Renan Lodi, is the current champion and the most decorated player in Saudi Arabia. They have 19 trophies under their belt, four of which have been won in the last five years.
Right behind comes Al-Ittihad, with the Frenchman Benzema, with 9 titles. Al-Nassr, which has goalkeeper Bento and striker Talisca in its squad, has 8 titles, the last one being in the 2018-19 season.
