In the following days, the amount corresponding to 60% of the readjustment clause paid in the 6th month (from December 1, 2021 to May 31) will begin to be paid to the beneficiaries, after first deducting the state subsidies and any discounts made by the provider of the consumer.
As it has been announced, the refund concerns those who have charges of 30 euros and above and the amount of the refund will range from 18 to 600 euros which will be tax-free, non-disposal and not offset against other debts.
Each application, in addition to the initial, formal check of the consumer’s details, should be officially checked with the company that provides the electricity, the consumption of the period and the charges of the readjustment clause should be calculated, any kind of “discounts” should be deducted and to finalize the refund amount before sending the final amount to the account indicated by the consumer. For this reason, the processing times from application to application will vary by a few days. In the meantime, consumers who want to track the progress of their application can refer to the power pass platform, and enter their application which will be marked according to its progress.
How the progress of the application is checked
The indications that the consumer can see depending on the status of his application are:
Rejected: In this case, he will have to look for why his application was rejected, as in addition to the marking, there will also be the reason for the rejection. If you navigate to the application page, you will see more information at the top (e.g. impossibility of cross-referencing the TIN as beneficiary/co-beneficiary with the declared IVAN). Rejected applications can be changed and resubmitted.
Under control: With this marking, the application has been submitted and is under review for:
1. The TIN of the beneficiary/co-beneficiary in the declared IBAN.
2. The number of applications submitted by the applicant and that it has not exceeded one (1) application for himself and his/her spouse and has not exceeded three (3) for protected members.
Under liquidation: This marking is present on the applications for which the IVAN/TIN checks have been completed, and no additional actions are required from the citizen. After the completion of the Application Period (July 1, 2022) cross-checks will be performed with the account details provided by the providers, in order to make the settlement and calculate the subsidy amount.
To be sent to the banking institution: With this marking, the consumption checks have been completed and the resulting amount will be sent within the next two working days to the account that the consumer has indicated when making the request.
To be processed by a banking institution: At this point the funds have been approved and the refund amount has been sent to the selected financial institution via DIAS and the bank is expected to make the payment.
Approved: This is the last stage. The selected financial institution has responded that the payment was successfully made and the beneficiary can check their account.
Penalties for false and inaccurate information
It is recalled that in the event that, during the audit of the applicant by the tax administration or another competent body, it is found that false or inaccurate information has been declared for the receipt of the financial aid, then the amount is required and in fact at an amount twice that of the aid. That is, if someone receives an aid of 450 euros and has declared false or inaccurate information, then he will be asked to pay 900 euros.
