Samsung is still preparing One UI 4.1.1 firmware, but it already seems to be making plans for the upcoming major update to One UI 5.0 based on Android 13. The company is going to start its open beta testing in the next three to four months, which is not later than July – this was reported by the authoritative profile portal SamMobile, citing its sources.
Compared to previous years, this time the beta version of the new One UI will become available earlier (in 2021, testing began in August) – therefore, the stable release may start faster (but not before the end of 2022). As always, the release of the update should start in waves – first for fresh flagships, then for old flagships and new Galaxy A, and then for everyone else.
As Samsung officially reveals the support dates for some of its devices, the list of gadgets that will definitely update to One UI 5.0 based on Android 13 is already known.
