Four restaurants, six published books, over a million social media followers and an Emmy Award nomination. This is just a brief summary of the curriculum of Adrianne Calvo American chef from Chicago, but who made his life in the sunny Miami in Florida.

As a child, Adrianne would run home after school to help her mother put dinner on the table. Her professional journey began after a scheduling mistake in high school: instead of a journalism course, her name was attached to a cooking class the day Johnson & Wales University held a presentation at her school.

After graduating, she landed a position at Miami’s luxury Mandarin Oriental hotel and soon after landed in napa valley, famous wine country in California. It was in 2007, at the age of 22, that she opened her first restaurant, Chef Adrianne’s Vineyard Restaurant and Bar in the Kendall area, 20 minutes from downtown Miami.

The house soon attracted local attention and soon became a “hidden gem”. Today, in addition to the restaurant that bears her signature, she runs the cracked O redfish it’s the Forte – the latter an Italian opened last year .

When not writing, traveling or at one of her restaurants, Adrianne also enjoys other flavors around town. Next, the chef shares her favorite places to eat and drink in Miami:

LPM Restaurant and Bar

I love everything about this restaurant. the cocktails are avant gardethe wine list is concise and impressive, and the menu has great selections – the spirit of the cuisine of the LPM comes from the French Riviera.

From the menu, I highlight the whole roasted and truffled chicken as the main course. As for dessert, my choice goes to the vanilla cheesecake with red fruit compote – the best I’ve ever had.

The Champagne Bar at the Surf Club

Elegance resides here, not just in the surroundings, but in the cocktails, the food, and even the staff uniforms. It’s everywhere.

O Champagne Bar is at the Four Seasons hotel at the Surf Club, an elegant and serene club in the Surfside area, and serves signature drinks, such as The Surf Club Martini ($27), and cocktail reinterpretations.

Zuma Miami

O Zuma It’s my favorite Japanese restaurant in Miami. The house, which has branches in other cities and countries, has a tuna tartare on the menu ($33) that I’ve enjoyed for over a decade – and I love that it’s been consistently amazing!

My highlight also goes to the sake selection: it is unparalleled. In addition to wines, they have a sake bar with over 80 premium varieties.

Finka Table and Tap

If you’re in Miami, you have to try the finka. I say that croquetas and Miami are synonymous – and nobody makes them better than this restaurant!

The house located in West Kendall presents itself as a fusion of Cuban, Peruvian and Korean cuisine. I also highlight the cocktail menu, which is very creative and celebrates local ingredients.

O Fiola He’s a top notch Italian. At the restaurant, I always start my order with a Fiola Martini with two pearl onions.
