the chef Christiano Ramalho is ahead of House Bistroa restaurant at Casa da Glória, in Rio de Janeiro, which has been successful with its tables around the pool and delicious breakfast options on weekends and holidays.
Mixing his base of French gastronomy with national ingredients, his authorial work serves a diverse audience, with items ranging from steak tartare, one of the house’s flagships, to vegan and vegetarian dishes, which the chef insists on always having. space on their menus.
When he’s not running the kitchen at Bistrô da Casa, Christiano goes from relaxed bars to upscale houses, and then shares his favorite spots in the Rio de Janeiro capital.
Doc flavor
Small steakhouse on Rua Dias Ferreira, in Leblon, with excellent cuts. commanded by Marcelo Malta and Carlos Marques, they serve an excellent flank steak with egg farofa and cassava. Everything at the right point, served in the right way, without ‘pyrotechnics’.

Sallero
Opened on the beach of Macumba, this nook with a sustainable footprint in container does not disappoint in gastronomy. We can prove the papardelle with seafood with pasta made in house. The Nasi goreng dish Balinese footprint, is another great choice.

bar room
With many awards, drinks and different names, such as “Mariola Sour” or “Gabriela went to London”, the space has interesting decor, with sofas, “home” tables and places on the street. Going to the Quartinho is an unmissable program in Botafogo. The bar food is worth it: brisket dumplings, steak tartare with bacons or the roast beef sandwich are delicious.

Our Ipanema
I really like this gastrobar Bruno Katz, one of the exponents of the new generation of chefs in Rio de Janeiro. The tip is to stay at the counter, from where you can see the movement of the kitchen and receive special explanations from the chef.
I highly recommend the ceviche with mango sorbet, the very fresh oysters, the octopus and the desserts. In addition, the bar is a separate chapter, with respectable drinks.

Chez Claude
chef’s house Claude Troisgrosled by the talented chef Jessica Trindade, is a paradise of good gastronomy. French classics with a Brazilian touch mark the options. The dishes come in reduced formats to be shared (or not). I highlight the steak tartare with scallops, egg with caviar, and Jessica’s always surprising suggestions of the day. Now there’s the novelty of a bar next door, with good snacks.
