Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Pablo Ferreyra he always enjoyed watching his mother cook, but he never imagined that he would fall in love with the profession.
For five years at the helm of the F&B operations of Hilton Copacabana Hotel, his first experience among the pans was in Miami, as a dishwasher. And it was from this role that, at the age of 18, he began to see the kitchen as a possible path.
soon entered the The Culinary Institute of America and it didn’t take long to move to Brazil.
Owner of a cheerful, colorful cuisine, with a carioca base and French techniques, he has worked in restaurants such as Gula Gula, Miam Miam and Le Pre Catelan, at the Sofitel hotel.
At the Iate Clube do Rio de Janeiro he had his first opportunity as a chef and it was at the Hotel Santa Teresa that he cooked for celebrities such as Amy Winehouse, Snoopy Dog and Robert Plant.
Check out below, the places that chef Pablo Ferreyra likes to go to when he’s not in charge of the kitchen:
Babbo Osteria

From dear Elia Schramm, the Babbo Osteria quickly became a hotly contested address in Ipanema. The salmon mi cuit with organic tomatoes is fantastic and the service at the place is impeccable.
Rua Barão da Torre, 632 – Ipanema, Rio de Janeiro / Tel.: (21) 99808-6496 (WhatsApp) / Opening hours: Monday to Wednesday from 12 pm to 4 pm and from 7 pm to 11 pm; Thursday to Saturday from 12pm to 4pm and from 7pm to midnight; Sunday from 12pm to 6pm.
Kitchen Asian Food

this asian restaurant offers a menu with fusion of Chinese, Thai, Malay and Indian ingredients, and brings together two culinary techniques: the French, brought by Pierre Landry; and the Japanese, with the refinement of the sushi bar, run by my friend Nao Hara. The crispy octopus and the fresh scallop tartar stand out.
Avenida Infante Dom Henrique, s/n – shop 101 – Glória, Rio de Janeiro / Tel.: (21) 4042-6161 / Opening hours: Monday to Thursday from 12pm to 11pm; Friday, Saturday and holidays from 12:00 to 23:30; Sunday from 12pm to 9pm / Reservation via site.
Prima Bruschetteria & Osteria
From partners Erik, Cristiano and André, in Leblon, it was the first address specializing in bruschetta in the city. No wonder, it is successful until today with its relaxed atmosphere – and even more cozy after the renovation it won. Among my favorite options is the sausage ragu bruschetta, which is unforgettable!
Rua Rainha Guilhermina, 95 – Loja C – Leblon, Rio de Janeiro / Tel.: (21) 3592-0881 / Opening hours: Sunday to Wednesday from 12pm to 11pm; Thursday to Saturday from 12:00 to 0:00.
Affective Culinary Good

O Good is defined by only one type of cuisine: affective cuisine. This is what the chef and friend proposes Kiko Faria , at the restaurant that mixes Minas Gerais cuisine with Italian roots. The house with only eight seats is a find in the city. Highlight for the shrimp bobó and the grilled tuna rsbife, which melts in your mouth.
Rua Raimundo Corrêa, 10 – Sobreloja – Copacabana, Rio de Janeiro / Tel.: (21) 99812-9976 / Opening hours: Tuesday to Friday from 4 pm to 11 pm; Saturday from 12:00 to 23:00; Sunday from 12pm to 8pm.
Ramiro Pizzas

THE Ramiro makes the best Neapolitan style pizza in Rio. With natural fermentation of 48 hours and Italian flour, the dough is thin, the rim is high and light. It’s out of this world!
Rua Siqueira Campos, 257 – Loja 22 – Copacabana, Rio de Janeiro / Tel.: (21) 2143-7294 / Opening hours: every day from 5:30 pm to 11:30 pm.
