Where to invest with the Selic at 13.25% and the impacts of high interest rates in Brazil and the US

The Monetary Policy Committee (Copom) raised the basic interest rate by 0.50 percentage point, to 13.25% per year, a move that is part of the Central Bank’s policies to try to contain inflation. As a result, savings, Treasury Selic and CDB yields change.

On the date known as “super Wednesday” the Federal Reserve raised US interest rates by 0.75 percentage point, the highest since 1994. Now the rate has moved into the range of 1.5% to 1.75% per annum .
