Which Agricultural Cooperatives lose real estate at auction

In recent years, an increasing effort has been made in order for the country’s agricultural cooperatives to modernize and acquire their rightful place in domestic economic activity. There are now several examples of cooperatives working towards extroversion and the adoption of new technologies, projecting a different picture from that of the past. However, there are some cases that have encountered difficulties that have led to the adventure of online debt auctions. In the coming months, therefore, the industrial facilities and assets of various agricultural cooperatives throughout Greece have been launched for sale.

Specifically, on November 9 – unless there is a suspension move – the electronic hammer is expected to strike for two properties, which belong to the Agricultural Fruit and Vegetable Cooperative of Agios Georgios under the name “Dimitra” with the first offer price set at 1.5 million. The amount of the debt for which the seizure was made amounts to 375,000 euros while Intrum Hellas is in a hurry.

The auction concerns two adjacent plots of land, which have been united in a single field with a total area of ​​16,963 sq.m. The other property includes a medium-sized plot of polygonal shape, which extends to a total area of ​​5,700 sq.m. and which is located in the same area. Buildings have been erected in it, such as a ground floor office space, a sorting hall with an area of ​​1,900sqm. as well as 8 cold rooms with an area of ​​1,900sqm ..

The auction will be followed on May 4 by the facilities of the Citrus Agricultural Cooperative of Skala, Laconia. The starting price has been set at 1.18 million euros while the Agricultural Bank under liquidation is in a hurry. Specifically, an attempt is made to sell a plot of land with a total area of ​​19,034.00 sq.m., in which buildings and facilities for packaging and standardization of citrus fruits as well as refrigerated areas have been constructed. The building infrastructure of the cooperative is located at the 38th kilometer of the national road Sparta-Monemvasia, within walking distance from the city of Skala in Laconia. In addition, on June 29, 3 auctions are expected to be held, concerning different properties, which belong to the Agricultural Cooperative of Locri “The Union”. The first property includes a plot of total area 14,392 sq.m. within the city of Livanaton, in which there are warehouses and refrigerators of agricultural products with a total area of ​​5 acres. The starting price is at 887,555 euros while the Agricultural Bank under liquidation is in a hurry.

With a first offer price of 701,704 euros, the other property concerns a building of commercial uses, located at the junction of 25th of March, Drosopoulou and 2nd of October streets, in the city of Atalanti, in Fthiotida. During the external autopsy, it was found that this is a three-storey building on the ground floor of which a galaxy supermarket store is housed, while office space is being developed on the floors. The third concerns a plot which is located in the city of Atalanti at Paliabela with an area of ​​5,780 sq.m., in which storage areas of 4,725 sq.m. have been erected. It should be noted that the first offer price has been set at 473,785 euros.
