We have written many times that the Russian car market has significantly decreased under the conditions of US sanctions. Let’s look at what Hyundai models Russians prefer in modern conditions.
Russian Hyundai dealers sold 4,909 cars in March, while sales fell by 68% compared to March last year. If we evaluate the results for the quarter, then sales of Hyundai in our country decreased by 25% and amounted to 30,026 cars. Hyundai ranks third in sales among all automakers in Russia, and the market share of the brand in the 1st quarter was 10.8% against 10.4% a year earlier.
Hyundai’s bestseller last month remains the Solaris sedan, sales of which dropped by 72% at once to 1,666 vehicles. In second place was the compact crossover Hyundai Creta, which was chosen by 1,563 people, while the drop in sales was 77%.
The Tucson crossover closes the top three Russian bestsellers, sales of which grew 4.4 times due to the release of a new generation of the model last year. At the same time, actual sales amounted to 734 vehicles.
This year, Hyundai dealers in Russia have got the Solaris sedan in the Sportline limited version, as well as the Staria minivan, which replaced the previous generation of the H-1 model.
