Which industries give the highest salaries

The “map” of average wages by sector of the Greek economy is shown by ELSTAT data, which have been submitted to the coordination committee of the consultation for the redefinition of the minimum wage.

According to ELSTAT data, the highest salaries are given in the sector of financial and insurance activities (31,981 euros on an annual basis), ie in banks and insurance companies.

The lowest wages are given to the accommodation and catering industry, ie hotels, cafes and restaurants.
Above the average income from salaries in all sectors of the Greek economy (17,680 euros) are the following sectors:

-Financial and insurance activities: 31,981 euros

– Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply: 28,007

– Transport and storage: 26,925 euros

– Professional, scientific and technical activities: 25,001 euros

– Information and communication: 22,873 euros

– Mines and quarries: 22,675 euros

– Water supply, wastewater treatment, waste management and remediation activities: EUR 19,490

– Real estate management: 20,804 euros

– Education: 20,298 euros

Processing: 19,339

– Activities related to human health and social welfare: EUR 18,884

Below are the average annual income from salaries (17,680 euros) are the following sectors:

– Wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles: 17,262 euros

– Constructions: 17,213 euros

– Other service activities: 14,260 euros

– Arts, entertainment and recreation: 12,593 euros

– Administrative and support activities: 12,178 euros

– Activities of accommodation services and catering services: 9,904 euros
