Which major road axis of Central Greece enters the implementation trajectory

The Public Investment Program 2021-2027 included the “Road Bralos – Aifissa of the diagonal axis Laia – Itea – Antirrio” with a total budget of 285 million euros.

The auction of the project is promoted immediately – at the beginning of 2022 with the system of design – construction.

The Diagonal Road Axis “Laia – Itea – Antirrio” is a major infrastructure and development project, is part of the international road network “E-65”, is the connecting axis between the PATHE and IONIAN ROADS and serves as a convenient and convenient from Central and Northern Greece to areas of the Western and Southern country.

The object of the project “Road line” Bralos – Afissa “of the diagonal axis Ladia Itea – Antirrio” concerns the construction of the road section from Bralo to the Gravia Bypass Authority (km 0 + 000 to 7 + 300) and the road After the end of the Gravia Bypass (from ch. 13 + 600) to Afissa (ch. 30 + 700), Length about 25km.

Upon completion, one will be able to move from the area of ​​Lamia to Patras without passing through Attica and Corinth, in about 80 minutes.

Also, the upgraded connection between East (PATHE) and West (IONIA) Axis will bring about significant changes in the way road transport is carried out, as it will allow on the one hand the faster movement from the Regions of Central Greece and Thessaly directly to Western Greece, its interconnection of the port of Patras with that of Volos, and on the other hand the upgrade of the Rio – Antirrio Bridge, which will be able to serve three major roads in the future, creating a significant economic perspective.
