Samsung Electronics is now rolling out One UI 3.0 and 3.1 for its smartphones based on the Android 11 operating system, which was released last year. Meanwhile, Google has released the first developer preview of the next OS version – Android 12.

While officially Android 12 can be installed by app developers on smartphones Pixel 5, Pixel 4a 5G, Pixel 4a, Pixel 4 and 4 XL, Pixel 3a and 3a XL, Pixel 3 and 3 XL.
The developer preview program for Android 12 ends as planned by Google in May, followed by public beta testing, with a stable release expected in September.

Samsung will not stop there and is preparing One UI 4.0 based on Android 12. However, unlike many other smartphone makers, Samsung is not participating in the beta testing program with Google. Instead, Samsung is launching its own testing programs following the stable release of the next major Android update.
