Which tenders for projects over 100 million euros are coming in the autumn

The Ministry of Infrastructure is launching two tenders for important projects worth more than 100 million euros in the autumn.

It is about the construction of the Havria dam, as well as the large anti-flood project in Oreokastro, Thessaloniki.

In particular, on September 6th, the Stream Arrangement project in the Oreokastro area of ​​Thessaloniki will be put up for auction. The project also includes the construction of the necessary rain networks. This is a particularly important anti-flooding project for the area of ​​Oreokastro in Western Thessaloniki, specifically in the area that stretches from the junction of the Inner Ring Road to Egnatia Street, which is shielded to a large extent.

The projects concern the Dendropotamos, East Galini, East Oreokastro and Asimaki watersheds.

The project has a cost including VAT of 15.5 million euros (12.5 million euros without VAT). The project has an estimated duration of 30 months from the day of signing the contract.

It is financed by the Recovery Fund and therefore should be completed by the end of 2025.

Also for Monday, October 17, the PPP tender for the Havria dam in Halkidiki is scheduled with the submission of binding offers.

This is a flagship project of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport as it is the first dam implemented through PPP. The budget of the project is 85.4 million euros.

It is noted that financial institutions have expressed interest in the project

The project is expected to cover 33% of Halkidiki’s water needs and will significantly contribute to addressing the region’s problem of access to sufficient quantities and good quality of drinking water and to the optimization of existing water storage methods and the creation of new ones.

Specifically, it will deal with water supply issues of the Municipal Units of Polygyro and Ormylia of the Municipality of Polygyro, Kassandra and Pallini of the Municipality of Kassandra, Sithonia and Toroni of the Municipality of Sithonia, as well as the Local and Municipal Communities of Ag. Mamanda and Nea Potidaia of Moudania Municipal Unit of Nea Propontida Municipality and Pyrgadikia Local Community of Panagia Municipal Unit of Aristotelis Municipality.

Because of its importance, the project was for many years a request of the local community.
