While awaiting verdict, Johnny Depp makes surprise appearance at concert in England

the Hollywood star Johnny Depp awaiting a decision in a US defamation case involving his ex-wife and actress Amber Heard took the stage at a rock concert in the city of Sheffield, in the north of England, this Sunday (29), surprising a crowd that was unaware of his participation.

Depp appeared with the English guitarist Jeff Beck to perform a series of song covers, including John Lennon’s “Isolation”, a track they collaborated on and released in 2020.

Virginia jurors who ruled on defamation charges against Depp and “Pirates of the Caribbean” star Heard delayed Friday without returning a verdict.

They will resume discussions this Tuesday, after the US Memorial Day holiday.

Depp, 58, has sued ex-wife Heard for $50 million and argued that she defamed him when she called herself “a public figure representing domestic abuse” in an opinion piece she wrote.

Heard, 36, has sued for $100 million, saying Depp smeared his reputation when his lawyer called his allegations a “hoax”.

Depp’s fans took to Instagram and Twitter to share their thoughts on the American actor’s performance on stage.

“Johnny is an absolutely crazy man… Walks out of court on Friday… performing in Sheffield UK on Sunday… with Jeff Beck… hallucinating,” said Twitter user @OneloveEarth.

On Instagram, @flokpedals wrote: “Wasn’t expecting this… I thought he was in court but it turns out he’s in Sheffield with Jeff Beck.”
