White House national security spokesman John Kirby said today that if Hamas agrees to a plan to end the war in Gaza, the US expects Israel to also accept the deal proposal. “It was an Israeli proposal. We expect that if Hamas agrees to the proposal — as it has been conveyed to them, an Israeli proposal — then Israel will say yes,” Kirby said in an interview on ABC News' This Week.
