White weeks: cheap offers for winter 2022-2023

White weeks: cheap offers for winter 2022-2023

The ski season has just begun and, after the first auspicious snowfalls, the operators have already got an idea of how winter will go: everything will be full as always from Christmas to Epiphany, foreign skiers will save the low season between mid-January and Easter e Italians will experience skiing hit and run without overnight stay or they will book at the last momentwaiting to understand the weather conditions or waiting to find a particularly cheap package.

The search for the right price will test many enthusiasts who will be looking for ski passes on sale, discounts on hotels by booking well in advance or who will simply choose less expensive resorts. We have tried to select some of the best offers among the white weeks throughout the Alps, from today until the end of the season. Here they are:

In Canazei, right in the centre

The Denise Hotel in Val di Fassa

Nicholas Miana

We are in Val di Fassa, right on the return track from Passo Sella and Passo Pordoi which descends into the village and connects with the Belvedere cable car. L’Hotel Denise it is right in the centre, in the town’s restricted traffic area, less than 100 steps from the track in the woods, one of the most exciting in the Dolomites: it is a two-star Trentino-level hotel with a level of hospitality and attention to detail that deserves a very different category. Lots of wood, traditional architecture, a very pleasant cuisine – especially local dishes… having said that, the Denise keeps its prices affordable, especially in the low season.

The offer for a white week from 14th to 21st January and from 14th March until Easter includes a cost of 75 euros per person, in a double room with half board. Probably the best value for money on the Sella Ronda slopes.

In Cortina book now

THE B&B at Passo Tre Croci above Cortina

@Marta D’Avenia

At 1,858 meters above sea level, in the center of the Unesco Heritage area, Cortina has always made itself known as an elite destination. Especially now that the Olympics are about to arrive and the 5 stars are sprouting like mushrooms in the city centre. Instead, a few kilometers outside the center but always on the slopes, the B&B Hotel Passo Tre Croci offers surprising prices. 124 rooms (there are also very large quadruples), with adjustable air conditioning, ultra-fast (and obviously free) Wi-Fi connection, a 43″ Smart TV with integrated Chromecast and plenty of common areas where it will be pleasant to stop and chat. The B&Bistrot offers cocktails or dinners with typical traditional dishes. The name HotelB&B Sound familiar? This is the chain of business hotels usually found just off the highway or in commercial areas which Cortina made an exception for.

The Winter Offer, however, bookable until March 31st, counts on rooms starting from 29 euros in low season (and it’s no joke), bookable only on hotelbb.com.

Madesimo, border tracks

K2 is located a few meters from the slopes

Ever thought of going skiing in Madesimo, just a few minutes from the northern shores of Lake Como? This is the favorite destination of many Milanese and Brianza residents. When the skier arrives here, he can do nothing but park the car and relax because the road ends in all respects, given that the Spluga Pass that descends into Switzerland in winter is closed for the excess of snow. All that remains is to ski, go snowmobiling and have fun, immediately after leaving your luggage at theK2 hotels in full centre.

The €570 per person package includes 7 nights in half board in a double room, ski pass (from 2 to 23 December, from 9 to 27 January and from 27 March to 11 April, Easter included) and direct access to the slopes ! Or you can choose a shorter package of 4 nights in half board plus 3 days of ski pass at €350 per person in a double room.

Under the slopes of Cermis

Des Alpes is also located a few tens of meters from the cross-country trails

Not just hotels. A ski week is much more comfortable in an apartment near the slopes, especially for families who don’t want to feel tied to the formalities and schedules of a hotel. The Residence Aparthotel Des Alpes it is found at Cavalese, in the Val di Fiemme Dolomites, a few tens of meters away from the departure station of the cable car that takes skiers to the top of Cermis at an altitude of 2200 metres, is ideal and, if necessary, the free ski bus stop is just outside the door. Tracks always in the sun and facing north, there is nothing better around here.

From Saturday 4 to Saturday 11 February, a family with two adults and two children spends 1121.40 for seven nights.

The Alta Venosta? Even on New Year’s Eve

The Greif in Mals

Malles is a very characteristic village at the bottom of Val Venosta, about fifty kilometers from Merano. Yes, it’s not exactly the easiest to reach ski resort but for a white week it’s certainly worth it. With a single ski pass from the Ortler Ski Arena you could ski in four different locations within a few kilometers – in Watles (one of South Tyrol’s best-kept secrets), in Belpiano – San Valentino above Lake Resia, in Solda on the glacier and Trafoi. In this corner of Italy, on the border with Austria and Switzerland, life costs less than you imagine: theGreif hotel it is a nice three-star hotel in the center that offers great hospitality and good prices.

A comfort double for €85 in half board per person (for a minimum of 5 nights) until January 7, therefore including New Year’s Eve.

Tarvisio doesn’t like increases

Basilica and village on top of Monte Lussari

Throughout Friuli Venezia Giulia, the region has decided that there should be no increases in the prices of ski passes. In Sellas Nevea as in Piancavallo, in Sappada as in Zoncolan, in high season it costs €39.50 and in low season only €28.00. Even in Tarvisio, which is the best known and most popular resort right on the border with Austria and Slovenia, where you can ski at Monte Lussari on a slope that has already hosted Alpine skiing World Cup competitions. A hotel with an excellent quality – price ratio is theAparthotel Raiblin the centre, less than one km from the lifts.

From Saturday 4 to Saturday 11 February, during the white weeks, 7 nights for two people with breakfast in a double room cost €840

LaThuile and the Literary Hotel

Locanda Collomb, on the border with France

The true ski enthusiast certainly prefers LaThuile to Courmayeur, which is less than 5 km away as the crow flies. There are many more kilometers of slopes, also thanks to the connection with the de ski area the Espace San Bernardo over the French border. Even the hotel offer has nothing to envy: the Collomb Inn it is a small family-run hotel (Daniele is also a ski coach while his daughter Giorgia is the strongest 15-year-old Italian): intimate atmosphere, with warm colors and typical furnishings from the Aosta Valley and nearby Savoy, an outdoor Finnish sauna and a well-stocked library which is sometimes the backdrop for presentations and comparisons between writers, so much so that it deserves the reputation of a “literary hotel”.

Until 17 December, stays from Monday to Thursday included start at €90 in a standard room (with the discount code “Week18”). After the Christmas holidays, always during the week, prices start from €108 with the discount code “Direct10” in an economy room.
