Almost all patients at the European Hospital in Gaza and the Red Cross Field Hospital have decided to leave there following evacuation orders issued by the Israeli army for southern areas of the Gaza Strip, the World Health Organization announced today. On Monday, 270 patients left on their own, as did the medical staff of these institutions, and yesterday the Ministry of Health of the Palestinian enclave resumed transfers of people, the WHO said. “There are only three patients left in the European Hospital in Gaza and three in the Red Cross field hospital. The majority of patients were directed to the Nasser Medical Complex,” the WHO added, giving figures as of yesterday.
