With the participation of the large construction groups and partnerships – surprise, the tenders begin within the next few days, for 4 major road projects in the country. These are the Bypass of Chalkida and Psachna, the connection of Kymi Avenue with PATHE, Bralos – Amfissa and Neapoli – Ag. Nikolaos of BOAK, with a total budget of 1 billion euros.
The tender for the Bralos-Amfissa road project, with a budget of 285 million euros, is scheduled for February 15th.
The object of the project “Road line” Bralos – Afissa “of the diagonal axis Ladia Itea – Antirrio” concerns the construction of the road section from Bralo to the Gravia Bypass Authority (km 0 + 000 to 7 + 300) and the road After the end of the Gravia Bypass (from ch. 13 + 600) to Afissa (ch. 30 + 700), Length about 25km.
Upon completion, one will be able to move from the area of Lamia to Patras without passing through Attica and Corinth, in about 80 minutes.
The tender of the BOAK department, “Neapoli-Agios Nikolaos”, a project 14 km long and with a budget of 186 million euros, has been set for February 22.
The purpose of the project is the operational upgrade, improvement and modernization of the road section of BOAK to increase the safety of
current and future movements and the further development of Crete.
Its financing is partially covered by the Recovery Fund but also by resources of the NSRF 2021-2027.
The project concerns the study and construction of the improvement works of the “Neapoli-Agios Nikolaos” section of VOAK, with widening of the existing road, with a total length of 14.00 km, and its conversion into a highway.
This section is the continuation to the east of the section “Hersonissos-Neapoli”, will be implemented by improving the cross-section and geometry of the existing NEO Neapoli-Agios Nikolaos and is part of the overall project of BOAK, which is developed in length of about 300 km and extends from Kissamos to Sitia.
On the same day, the tender for the Bypass of Chalkida and the Bypass of Psachna will be held, with a total budget of 210 million euros. which aims to improve the connection of Athens and Chalkida with northern Evia, to decongest the urban fabric of Chalkida, N. Artaki and Psachna with the passing traffic to be channeled to the new road and to the efficiency of the traffic of a single and safe road axis.
Finally, on February 22, the bids for the extension of Kimi (the section from Attiki Odos to the Uneven Junction of the National Road) will be submitted. The project, with a budget of 434 million euros, concerns the design and construction of a road axis with a closed section of a closed highway, with a total length of approximately 3.8 km (to 4.2 km together with the option).
The project will be studied, will be executed within the administrative boundaries of the Municipalities of Pefki and Lykovrysi in the Prefecture of Attica.
The extension of Kymi Avenue to the national road is expected to decongest the network of the above three municipalities, to facilitate the access of many areas of the northern suburbs to the National Road.
