Luana Andrade, influencer and stage assistant for the program “Domingo Legal”, on SBT, died this Tuesday (07), after suffering four respiratory arrests during a liposuction procedure on her thigh, close to the knee region.
Luana Andrade became known after her participation in the program “Power Couple”, on Record TV, alongside her boyfriend, influencer João Hadad.
In an official note, SBT lamented Luana’s death.
“SBT deeply regrets the death of Domingo Legal’s stage assistant, Luana Andrade. According to family information, her death was due to complications during cosmetic liposuction surgery, carried out yesterday at Hospital São Luiz, Itaim unit,” they said.
“Luana did not survive cardiorespiratory arrests. Luana Andrade Lopes was 29 years old and was born in São Paulo (SP). Graduated in advertising and propaganda, she was a businesswoman, influencer, in addition to working as a photographic model since 2018”, they communicated.
“She also participated in the 6th edition of the reality show ‘Power Couple Brasil’ and was a stage assistant at “Domingo Legal” since April 2023. SBT, the “Domingo Legal” team and the entire board and other colleagues at the broadcaster express great sadness at Luana’s departure and wish strength to her friends and family”, they lamented.
Luana had famous friends, such as surfer Gabriel Medina, one of the first to mourn the influencer’s death on social media.
“Today I lost a friend due to “simple” aesthetic procedures. The world is surreal, people…especially you women. This standard of “perfect” bodies that are impossible to achieve displayed on Instagram and in the media needs to end urgently”, warned Medina.
“Why risk your life for nothing? Can not understand. We are young, we have several other ways of feeling good, healthy, beautiful… if I can give some advice… We need to get back to showing more reality in everything. That’s how we are, period. This fake world will end up killing more and more young people”, declared the surfer.
Player Neymar Jr. also published a message on his social network lamenting the sudden death of Luana Andrade.
“Sad day, with two very bad news. First there was the attack that Bru’s parents suffered, but thank God everyone is safe! Second, the death of a friend. My condolences to the whole family, may God welcome Luana with open arms”, wrote the athlete.

According to information, the wake will be tomorrow, 11/08, from 9am to 11am. Cremation ceremony from 11:00 to 11:30.
