Influencer Ricardo Godoi, 46 years old, died after receiving general anesthesia to get a tattoo in Itapema in Santa Catarina, last Monday (20).
Ricardo carried out the procedure at a private hospital in the city. According to the tattoo artist, who did not want to be identified, the man had a cardiorespiratory arrest at the beginning of the sedation.
On social media, the businessman promoted several luxury cars, such as Porsche, Ferrari and Lamborghini. Ricardo was CEO of the Godoi Group, responsible for importing super cars.
He had more than 200 thousand followers on his Instagram account alone. In his publications, the influencer wrote phrases of reflection and motivation, focused on the new achievements of his company and its customers.

“The idea is to never lose motivation to climb each step towards success, no matter how difficult it may be. And also don’t forget to be grateful for the lessons learned at each stage of the journey”, the businessman wrote in another post.
Ricardo was also married and is survived by his wife. They lived together in Balneário Camboriú, on the coast of Santa Catarina.
Understand the case
The tattoo artist told CNN who had been putting together the tattoo project with the businessman for over a month. According to him, the “best professionals” were chosen to participate in the procedure.
He further stated that he and his team had not started the tattoo when Ricardo fell ill. He added that, previously, blood tests were carried out that did not indicate an explicit risk to the patient.
The Civil Police opened a police investigation to investigate the influencer’s death and interview witnesses.
