Ursula von der Leyen has been heavily criticized for her immigration and green policies by a far-right representative in the European Parliament. Ewa Zajączkowska-Hernik, a Polish MEP member of the Eurosceptic and hard-right Eurogroup, Europe of Sovereign Nations (ESN), from which she left just hours before its members were to vote on whether the current President of the European Commission should retain her role for another term.
