THE young man who was arrestedbecause it launched eggs to King Charles and Camila, has a past rich in activist actions on the occasion of her climate changewhile there is also a former candidate for the Green party.
According to dailymail.co.uk, the protester who threw the eggs, is called Patrick Thelwell. He is an Extinction Rebellion activist and former Green Party candidate.
He also studied politics and international relations at the University of York, where he combined his activism with other roles in the student community, including president of the gardening club.
In the past he has taken part in protests that have blocked London Bridge and a road leading to a newspaper printing press. Then-Prime Minister Boris Johnson called the stunt “totally unacceptable”.
In an online biography, Thelwell boasts of long-standing involvement on the left, with his involvement in politics beginning in 2015 when he campaigned to oust Tory MP Esther McVey from her Merseyside seat because of her views for allowances.
In a blog where he writes regularly about climate change, he said he was preparing for a PhD in interdisciplinary global development.
