A school trip has turned into a drama for the Manetti-Porciatti Institute of Grosseto. Aurora Bellini, 17, originally from the hamlet of Batignano, lost his life in the night while he was On board a ferry that started from Naples and headed to Palermo: With his class he was participating in an education trip.
The student, who attended the fourth of the computer address of the technical institute, began to feel bad while he was on the ship. According to the first reconstructions, He would return to the cabin to rest, but shortly after he would collapse on the ground without feeling. To give the alarm were the companions with whom he divided the cabin.
Rescue intervened quickly: a consortium of the Coast Guard reached the boat, together with a 118 doctor. Despite the efforts of the health personnel, the attempts to revive it were useless. Aurora died shortly after. The ferry was located off Capri, about 40 miles from the coast, when the urgent transfer to the port of Sorrento was carried out. The student, according to the investigative sources, has already arrived without vital signs on the mainland.
Aurora Bellini’s body was initially brought to Castellammare di Stabia, and then moved to the morgue of Nocera Inferiore, where it is awaiting the autopsy. The first medical assessments do not exclude the hypothesis of a heart attackbut the autopsy will clarify the causes of death. Meanwhile, the Prosecutor of Torre Annunziata has opened a file, currently borne by unknown persons, to shed light on the incident.
In a note, the manager of the Institute, Angelo Costarella, wrote: “The school, together with the territorial school office, expresses deep pain for what happened to one of our students, who died last night during the educational trip. We are and we will remain close to the parents of our dear pupil so deeply affected by this tragedy ». And he added: “We await the return to the other students and accompanying teachers in the next few hours”.
The news of Aurora’s death also deeply shaken the community of Batignano, where the girl lived with her family. Many activities in the country have lowered the shutters as a sign of mourning. The young woman leaves her parents and a twin sister.
