“As long as my faith strengthens me, no harm will make me fall”, this is the phrase that country singer Nanda Ferraz highlights on Instagram, a social network that has 12 thousand followers. The 34-year-old artist died after overturning her car, on Sunday afternoon (14), on the Vicinal Luiz Carlos Brandolezi highway, in Bady Bassit, in the interior of São Paulo, around 450 km from the capital.
Despite her stage name, the singer was called Lígia Fernanda Gonçalves and was the mother of two girls. The wake and burial took place on Monday (15), at the São João Batista cemetery, in São José do Rio Preto.
Nanda stood out for the power of her voice and her friendly presentations. She used to perform in bars and events in the Bady Bassit region.
Friends and family paid tribute to the singer on social media. In the videos shared, it is possible to notice that the singer always has fun while singing.
In a video published on October 18, 2023, Nanda Ferraz sings, emotionally: “This cannot be the end, there has to be another version. After the universe, beyond our dimension. I see you there”. The music is by Giulia Be, who stars in the film “After the Universe”, a Brazilian romance that tells the story of a couple in which one of the two ends up passing away.
In singer Nanda Ferraz's last publication, made the day before the accident, she posted: “Don't be afraid of starting from scratch, be afraid of never starting”.
The accident
According to the Public Security Secretariat (SSP), the Civil Police are investigating the death of the 34-year-old country singer. In a statement, the SSP stated that Military Police were called to the scene of the accident, where they found the victim's body outside the vehicle, lifeless. The causes of the accident are still unknown.
Forensic examination was requested to investigate the facts and the Police Report was recorded as rollover at the Cedral Police Station.
Friends and family published tributes to the singer on their social networks. “We had the pleasure of meeting and singing with you Nanda, such a happy person, partner, wonderful singer and super mother, it is difficult to receive the news that you are gone”, said Bruna Bermudes.
