The “fault”, of course, is the umpteenth trend of Tik Tok, inspired by Minions 2: How Gru becomes Despicable. Fans of the series in fact rushed to the cinema to see the new chapter, deciding to pay homage to Gru with elegant clothing and taking with them a banana, the most loved snack by minions, and posting the videos on Tik Tok under the hashtag. #gentleminions.
Trends to follow to get your Tik Tok account off the ground
The result of this invasion of banana-armed gentlemen? A revolt of (British) cinemas, which banned the viewing of Minions 2 to anyone dressed in full suit. But a simple sign hasn’t deterred fans, who have found a way around this, let’s face it, absurd rule.
