Why didn’t Microsoft do this? The utility harmoniously adds folders to the Windows 11 Start

A few months earlier, Stardock, a popular developer among power users, released the Start11 utility, which allows you to customize the controversial “Start” in Windows 11 – you can return the design of this menu from Windows 10 and even Windows 7. Now the company has released an update with the index 1.1, in which it appeared new useful option to create folders in Windows 11 “Start” (Microsoft did not provide such a function, although users are constantly asking to add this option).

The ability to create folders in the “Start” of a new operating system is not new – third-party developers have implemented this option long ago. However, all the well-known early solutions by no means fit into the overall Fluent design of Windows 11. Start11 does this probably best of all – folders are completely transparent boxes with miniature application icons inside. To create a folder, just drag one shortcut to another while holding down the Shift key.

In addition to the main innovations in the utility, less significant ones appeared: improved integration of another proprietary utility Fences, a new context menu for icons (when you right-click), as well as the ability to import existing layouts from Windows 10.
