Kaspersky Lab has published the results of a survey among gamers about the main reasons why they play computer games. The statistics take into account the responses of Russians aged 18 to 35 who play on the PC.
The most common response was an attempt to get rid of stress and nervousness (55%), followed by a desire to experience excitement and excitement (46%). In 43% of cases, gamers noted that they enjoy achieving their goals in the game, and in 42% – that in this way they strengthen relationships with friends.
The older generation also shares the point of view about the real benefits of computer games. According to gamers, in 33% of cases, parents believe that it is easier to learn a foreign language while playing, in 32% – that gaming develops creativity, in 29% – communication skills and sociability, in 22% – skills that can be applied in other areas.
