Three wills contain the inheritance of Silvio Berlusconi, passed away at 86 on 12 June. The first holographic will is from October 2006, when the former President established the inheritance of Fininvest, integrated in 2020, with the donation to his brother. The second is from January 2022 and contains the 100 million bequest to her last partner, Marta Fascina, and was kept by herself, who handed it over to the notary yesterday. This document, a handwritten will, was enclosed in an unsealed envelope. Inside a sheet of letterhead with the inscription «To my children». The date shown is that of January 19, 2022 while the place is Arcore.
It is about ten lines written during a journey to San Raffaele, after having received the diagnosis of leukemia. In these lines Berlusconi has arranged a further bequest for Marta Fascina, which amounts to 100 million euros, like his brother Paolo, and one for Marcello Dell’Utri, of 30 million.
«Dear Marina, Pier Silvio, Barbara and Eleonora, I’m going to the San Raffaele, if I don’t come back, please take note of the following», writes indicating the donations to Fascina and Dell’Utri. He then turns to his children: «Much love to all of you, your dad». Luigi’s name is missing from the letter, the youngest son of the founder of Forza Italia. It is fair to point out that this document is not the will that disposes in favor of the children. Luigi, therefore, is not excluded from any part of the inheritance.
Indeed, in another document, dated October 2, 2006, Silvio Berlusconi arranged to leave «the available share in equal parts to my children Marina and Pier Silvio», and to leave «everything else, in equal parts, to my five children, Marina, Pier Silvio, Barbara, Eleonora and Luigi». From the text from which Luigi’s name is missing, it would appear instead that the bequests to Paolo Berlusconi, Marta Fascina and Marcello Dell’Utri (230 million in all) are borne by the other four children, and not by Luigi.

Luigi, 34, is the youngest of the brothers, the last of the children from his marriage to Veronica Lario. From a very young age his father made him participate in the management of his empire (at 17 he was on the board of directors of Mediolanum).
Berlusconi’s will was read to the heirs on 5 July 2023, and was then made public the following day.
