Why Russia now recognized the Taliban government

Russia has become the first country in the world to recognize the Taliban government and the time is not accidental. The US shortly before the end of Donald Trump’s first term, reached an agreement with their impatient enemies in Afghanistan to take over the country’s rule. Then came the episode of the US troops in 2021 under Biden presidency, and since then the West recognized the Taliban. However, this was not officially done. Moscow, therefore, chose to make this move for political reasons, but also for security issues.
