Warming up for the musical “Wicked “, the Universal Pictures released this Wednesday (25) a new video with behind the scenes of the production. The feature film with Ariana Grande arrives at cinemas on November 21st .
In the new preview, the cast, which includes Cynthia Erivo (“Harriet”) and Jonathan Bailey (“Bridgerton”), talks about what the public can expect from the production. The video also presents never-before-seen images from “Wicked” .
“Wicked” tells the story of Elphaba (Erivo), a young girl who has not yet recognized her true potential and is misunderstood because of her green skin, and Glinda (Grande), a woman who has not yet discovered her true identity.
The two meet at Shiz University in the Land of Oz and form a deep friendship. However, after an encounter with the Wonderful Wizard of Oz, their lives take very different paths leading them to become the Good Witch of the South and the Wicked Witch of the West — seen in the classic film “The Wizard of Oz”, released in 1939.
The cast also includes Michelle Yeoh (“Everything in Every Place at Once”), Ethan Slater (“Fosse/Verdon”) and Jeff Goldblum (“Jurassic Park”).
