“Wicked: Part 2” will have two new songs, according to director

The second part of “Wicked “, planned to be launched in 2025 will feature two songs unreleased, that is, that are not part of the musical of the Broadway . The information was confirmed by Jon M. Chu, 45, director of both productions.

In an interview with Rotten Tomatoeshe revealed that the two songs are “fantastic”, but could not give more details about them. Check out the excerpt from the interview:

“Wicked” is a prelude to the classic “The Wizard of Oz” and follows the story of Elphaba a young woman who, because she has green skin, is misunderstood and still does not know her true power, and of Glinda a popular and ambitious woman who has not yet discovered her true identity.

The film stars Cynthia Erivo (“Harriet” and “The Outsider”) and Ariana Grande (“Brilhante Victória” and “Sam & Cat”). Names like Jonathan Bailey (“Bridgerton“), Jeff Goldblum (“Jurassic Park”) and the Oscar winner Michelle Yeoh (“Everything Everywhere at the Same Time”).

The adaptation of the Broadway musical “Wicked” has already debuted in theaters and made history by becoming the highest-grossing release of its kind in history.
