Will Desperate Housewives get a revival? Eva Longoria hopes so

Between Desperate HousewivesEva Longoria has always been the most determined when it comes to revivals and this is why, interviewed on the occasion of the new Apple TV+ series Tierra de mujeres – Twists of vine which sees her as the protagonist, did not hold back when faced with questions from journalists. “I would be the first to sign up for a reboot,” Longoria told ET, although it is not the first time that Longoria has expressed himself in favor of a return to TV Desperate Housewives. In the series, you may remember that Eva Longoria played the bombshell Gabrielle Solisthe richest and most vain of housewives, ready to do anything to once again take on the role of the character that gave her success.

«I’ve said hundreds of times to showrunner Marc Cherry: let’s do it again. I miss Wisteria Lane. I miss girls. I miss Gabrielle Solis. I miss being her”, confessed the actress that, already in 2023, she would have asked Cherry to get back to work on Desperate Housewives even if the latter has always put his hands forward, believing he could have nothing else to say or add about his characters. However, 2024 will be the twentieth anniversary of the series first airing, which is why Longoria is pushing so hard for a return in any form.

On the occasion of the Cannes Film Festival, the actress said she was working on a special project to celebrate the anniversary, even if, rather than a spin-off, it seems that it is a reunion along the lines of the one Of Friends in 2021. The hope is that Longoria, Marcia Cross, Teri Hatcher, Felicity Huffman And Nicolette Sheridan can come together to remember anecdotes related to the series and perhaps reread some memorable scenes from the seasons. At the moment, however, nothing is confirmed.
