The film adaptation of the best-selling Paula Pimenta , “Making my movie” , premiered on Prime Video on Wednesday (14). The film is already the second most watched title of the week on the platform in Brazil.
The plot tells the story of Fani, a young dreamer who loves cinema. She lives thinking about life as if it were a movie in which each friend and each passion has a prominent role.
During the school year, her mother insists that she participate in a selection process to go on exchange abroad and spend a year in London. The prospect of leaving the country scares her and she has to deal with her feelings and internal conflicts when she finds herself in love with someone unexpected.
The film ends with Fani realizing a big dream and leaving for a new adventure, which leaves the question: will “Making My Film” have a sequel?
The story created by Paula Pimenta is made up of four books. The film adapted only the events of the first work, therefore, there is a continuation. However, none of the parties – studio, producer, author – commented on a possible second film.
A CNN contacted Galeria Distribuidora and Prime Video, responsible for the production and distribution of the title, respectively, and is awaiting a response.
