Will “My Lady Jane” have a second season?

The period and fantasy series “My Lady Jane” premiered on Prime Video last week. The title entered the list of the 10 most-watched productions on the streaming service in Brazil.

Set in 16th century England, in a context in which society was divided between “normal” humans, also called true humans, and Ethians, who are people who can transform into animals and are seen as the lowest caste in society, The plot stars Lady Jane Gray, an English noblewoman who assumes the crown and spends her short reign trying to promote unity between the two classes.

The production has eight episodes and is inspired by the best-selling book of the same name by Brodi Ashton, Cynthia Hand and Jodi Meadows, which is a retelling of part of the history of the Tudor dynasty in England.

The end of the first season leaves the plot open for a possible continuation, so the question remains: Will “My Lady Jane” have another season?

Prime Video has not commented on a possible sequel to “My Lady Jane” however, it is worth remembering that the book on which the production is based is part of a trilogy: “My Lady Jane”, “My Plain Jane” and “My Calamity Jane”, therefore, the events of the season have a sequence already written and there is more story to tell.
