His last album, “Lost and Found”, was released in March 2005.
Smith also released the list of tracks from the new project, which includes collaborations with Teyana Taylor, Jac Ross and Obanga. DJ Jazzy Jeff, a longtime friend and musical partner – with whom he released the hit “Summertime” in 1991 – also appears in the opening track.
In January, the singer released the single “Beautiful Scars”. Shortly thereafter, in an interview with the Big Boy’s Neighborhood program, he talked about how this new work represents a change from some of his previous projects.
