Will Smith: The actor teaches a child the art of fake slapping – The video a year before the 2022 Oscars

The ceremony of this year’s awards Oscar 2022 were done in all their glory. Great films, actors, directors and actors were awarded. But what was left was Will Smith’s slap on presenter Chris Rock when the latter made an indecent comment about Smith’s wife, Jada. In footage that came into the possession of TMZ, a video from last year shows the Oscar winner Will Smith to show off the art of fake slap on a group of kids.

The strange twist of the story? The young man’s name is Chris and he asked Smith how he pretends to quarrel in his famous movies. Of course, for many in Hollywood, he is now a “slapstick” actor.

Although Smith did not really slap this Chris, he was considered prophetic of what happened at the 94th Academy Awards.

How did the US television nightclub react to the slap?

“Do not take my wife’s name in your mouth again!” shouted Smith – twice – from his place in the front row to the astonished Rock after the brawl. Will has since apologized for his actions, including to Rock, and on Tuesday morning the Jada finally responded to the controversy, writing on her Instagram account that this is “a time for healing and I’m here for it.”».

The shocking slap – which was televised in homes around the world – was heard on Twitter, where internet pranksters created a bunch of memes.

Of course, such an incident would not go unnoticed by the US night television. Late-night presenter Jimmy Kimmel even referred to the brawl as “Hitch’s old-fashioned slap,” referring to Smith’s 2005 comedy.

Kimmel, who initially believed the slap was directed, said he quickly realized it was not fake at all.

Other nightclub comedians were also involved, including “The Tonight Show” host Jimmy Fallon, who said it was “nice for all of us to get together and say ‘holy crap’ at the same time. Get ready for next year’s 95th death row for the Oscars. “Five candidates are coming in – one is coming out,” joked Steven Colbert, host of The Late Show.

In 2012, the actor slapped the prankster Vitalii Sediuk who disguised himself as a journalist, when she tried to kiss him on the cheek at the premiere of “Men in Black III” in Moscow. “What’s your problem, man?” Irritated Smith said to Sediuk before slapping him in the face.
