The MediaTek Dimensity 9000 single-chip system, which, according to the first tests, is more productive (in terms of CPU) and more energy efficient than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, will appear on the market very soon.

MediaTek said that the new product will debut in the Oppo Find X5 line of smartphones on February 24th. Which model will be built on the Dimensity 9000 is unknown, but it is likely that Oppo will use Qualcomm’s solution as well.
As before, the main problem for MediaTek’s top-end SoCs may be the prevalence in the market. The company has been making decent platforms for the upper price segment for a couple of years, but there were very few smartphones with them.
Recall that the Dimensity 9000 is completely identical to Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 in terms of CPU configuration, but the former has a higher frequency of some cores and more cache memory. Judging by AnTuTu, the graphics core is still faster on the Qualcomm platform.
