Rumors about a “Top Gun 3” were circulating the internet and fans expressed interest in seeing the production come to fruition. In March of this year, Jerry Bruckheimer, producer of the two films in the franchise, confirmed the development of the feature film.

In an interview with Screen Rant, Jerry said that the director, Joseph Kosinski, responsible for the second film in the franchise, already has a story planned and, above all, approved by Tom Cruise himself, who is also part of the production team of the work.
“We have a story. Joe Kosinski had a wonderful idea for the story, and he [Tom Cruise] said he really liked it, so we’re developing it,” he said.
