William and Kate: “Children miss their great-grandfather Filippo”

That the princes loved their great-grandfather was already evident from the many photos posted on Instagram afterwards the death of Philip of Edinburgh, now William and Kate talk about how their children miss him. The Dukes of Cambridge sent a letter of thanks in response to a message of condolence writing that they and their three children, George, 7, Charlotte, 6, and Louis, 3, miss “their beloved grandfather and great-grandfather.”

The Miss Royal Replie Instagram account shared the image of the message.

In addition to the words of the dukes, there is a uniformed image of Prince Philip, husband of Queen Elizabeth, who died last April at the age of 99.

«The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge thank you for your kind words after the death of the Duke of Edinburgh», the message reads, «Their Royal Highnesses have been very moved by the many thoughts received in recent weeks. They will miss their grandfather and great-grandfather very much, but your message will certainly be of comfort to them in this difficult moment “

In the days following Prince Philip’s death, Kate and William first shared many private photos of their great-grandfather with their three children including an image taken at Balmoral Castle with little Charlotte of a few months looking at her great-grandparents and the queen smiles at her. William’s tribute to his grandfather was accompanied by an image of Philip of Edinburgh in a carriage with Prince George.

The most beautiful of the images, however, is perhaps the one posted by Buckingham Palace with the queen and her husband along with seven of their great grandchildren. The smallest in the image is Kate and William’s third child, Louis. The photo was taken by Kate Middleton at Balmoral Castle in the summer of three years ago.
