Prince William and Kate Middleton took advantage of the holidays spent on the Sandringham estate to let their three children live, George, Charlotte and Louisan unforgettable experience: a day at Lapland theme park in Ascotin Berkshire, which from November to January recreate the magical world of Santa Claus. In the park, known as the “Lapland of England” and immersed in the Whitmoor forest, little George, Charlotte and Louis were able to roam among a thousand attractions: a toy factory, an enchanted forestone ice skating rinkplays, mythological characters such as goblins and elves. Those who met the royal family told Hello! that Charlotte and George, ages 7 and 9, held snow leopard stuffed animals in their hands. While another puppet, probably of the four-year-old prince Louis, was under dad William’s arm. Then, at the end of the journey, the most exciting moment arrived for the children of the Princes of Wales: the meeting with Santa Claus.
The “secret escape” of William and Kate with their children took place just a few days after December 25th. When we had seen them all together at the traditional Christmas mass in the church of St Mary Magdalene in Sandringham (photo above). For little Louis it was a debut. And it was he who stole the show from all the Windsors in the first Christmas Walk without Queen Elizabeth, with two gestures that enraptured everyone. The first: Mama Kate pulled towards her while she was about to greet the audience present. The second, almost comical: he opened his blue coat to reveal the wine-coloured shorts over the knee-length socks. Two gestures that are not suited to royal protocol, but very much to the light-heartedness of a four-year-old child.
