The new feature has already started appearing to some users in an early test build of Microsoft Edge (Canary).

As the thematic resource WindowsLatest reported, at the moment Microsoft Edge widgets can be of three types – only for search, as well as vertical and horizontal layouts for news, all sorts of interesting content and information, for example, about the weather.

It can be activated in the Microsoft Edge menu in the Toolbar section by selecting the Web Widget item. More expanded options for the panel, not just for search, work in a similar way. The shortcut icon is automatically docked to the right side of the screen. The widget can be stopped at any time in the notification area.
