Microsoft began rolling out a major functional update to the Windows 10 taskbar in early May.

As part of the mandatory traditional monthly Patch Tuesday update KB5003173, released on May 11 for Windows 10 20H2 (October 2020 Update) and 2004 (May 2020 Update), a personalized news feed on the taskbar is now available more users.

The News and Interests widget is gradually becoming available to more and more users. However, the innovation turned out to be far from problem-free. There are at least three flaws that users complain about. Some users have reported that the weather icon pinned to the taskbar is blurred.
Also, it looks like the ribbon only works when the taskbar is pinned to the bottom. If you have changed the location of the taskbar, the option will not work.
The third problem with the taskbar ribbon is that the widget may stop working and start showing a blank window or loading animation.
Fortunately, a faulty tape can be easily “repaired”. To fix the problem, you need to open the Task Manager, right-click Windows Explorer and select Restart.
