Users of the new Microsoft operating system have identified another problem with Windows 11. As noted by the Neowin resource, there have been many complaints on the network over the past few months about the decrease in the performance of NVMe SSDs.
It is noted that users complain of different symptoms, but they have the same meaning – a significant decrease in the speed of solid-state drives compared to the operation of the same NVMe SSDs with Windows 10 installed.
While some NVMe SSDs show lower input / output operations per second (IOPS), others show lower read / write speeds.
As an example, there is a post from a forum on the official Microsoft website, where the user MJ_JasonM said that the random write speed of an SSD in Windows 11 has decreased by almost half compared to Windows 10.
In response to complaints on Reddit, Microsoft spokesman Neal Christiansen confirmed that Microsoft is already investigating the issue.
