Windows 11 now requires TPM 2.0 even in virtual machines. Minus loophole

Fresh insider build of Windows 11 version 22458 refuses to install in virtual machines without TPM 2.0 cryptochip. This was announced by a Twitter user with the nickname XenoPanther. As such, enthusiasts wishing to try the new features of Windows 11 on unsupported computers will no longer be able to do with virtual machines.

System notification about unable to install update appeared after downloading Windows 11 Build 22458 over Build 22454 via system settings. An insider said that he compared the appraiserres.dll file in the two assemblies and found differences regarding the virtual machines. Apparently, this is not a bug in the new beta build of the system, but Microsoft’s decision to specifically limit the use of Windows 11 in virtual machines without the TPM 2.0 cryptochip.
