A separate widget menu has become one of the key innovations in Windows 11, but it has disappointed users rather than pleased – at least the forums are full of dissatisfied commentators who consider this innovation useless. Apparently, the designer @zeealeid was among those who did not like the innovation either. He showed his implementation, which at least deserves attention.
As planned by @zeealeid, the widget menu should support resizing and switching between multiple pages. However, the main thing is that widgets should be useful. Microsoft for some reason did not implement a preview for the “Task Manager” or the “My Phone” (Phone Link) application for connecting a smartphone to a computer, although these widgets would certainly be among the most useful.

At least in the designer’s implementation, the same Task Manager widget looks very handy, just like a miniature drawing/note board.
